Steps to End Domestic Violence recognizes that survivors can be the best advocates and is committed to welcoming survivors of domestic violence as employees in our organization. Former service users are welcome to apply for employment, internship, and volunteer roles at Steps to End Domestic Violence following a 12-month separation from emergency housing services and a 6-month separation from all other services. Exceptions to this policy can be made by request.

OPEN ROLES:

Family Program Coordinator

The Family Program Coordinator provides oversight of the Family Program and implementation of specialized healing, trauma informed services to families impacted by domestic abuse. In addition, the Family Program Coordinator represents the interests of children and families affected by domestic violence in the organization and in various community groups/settings. The Family Program Coordinator is on the Direct Services Team and reports to the Director of Program Services.

This full-time position (40 hours per week) is paid between $50,000 and $65,300 based on experience and is eligible for a generous benefits package, which includes health, dental, vision and life insurance, 403b plan, 24 paid days off, and 12 paid holidays.

Housing Advocate

The Housing Advocate provides service user-centered advocacy related to obtaining and maintaining independent housing to survivors of domestic abuse, including all households enrolled in our emergency housing, rapid rehousing, and transitional housing programs. The Housing Advocate is a member of the Direct Services Team and reports to the Director of Housing Services.

This full-time position (40 hours per week) starts at $23.00/hour and is eligible for a generous benefits package, which includes health, dental, vision and life insurance, 403b plan, 24 paid days off, and 12 paid holidays.

Emergency Housing Advocate

The Emergency Housing Advocate provides service user-centered advocacy related to obtaining emergency housing and supporting survivors of domestic abuse who are temporarily housed in shelter and local hotel. They will serve as a liaison between hotel staff, Steps to End Domestic Violence staff, and service users and will collaborate with, provide outreach for, and build relationships between these parties. They will complete intakes, room turnovers, and respond to other requests. The Emergency Housing Advocate assists in providing an environment that is safe, clean, empowering, and supportive for residents and their children. The Emergency Housing Advocate is a member of the Direct Services Team and reports to the Shelter Coordinator.
