What is the holiday giving program?

Steps’ Holiday Giving Program connects donors in our community with kids and families who have accessed Steps’ services. There are two components to the program in 2025:

  1. Individual Wishlist Fulfillment

    Steps works with parents to gather individualized wishlists for their children, then we match the children with donors who fulfill the items on their lists.

    Please note that all donor/kid matches have been made for 2025 - if you’d like information on donating or submitting a wishlist for your child in 2026, please email us.

  2. The Holiday Bazaar - New in 2025!

    We will be hosting a “shopping” event for survivor parents here in our shelter in Mid-December. This event will offer an opportunity for Emergency Housing program participants to shop in-person for their children!

    Donors who want to support this program can shop from a general wishlist that reflects the items that kids in our shelter & emergency housing request most often. If you have ideas outside this list please reach out to the team - we’d love to hear them!

    All holiday bazaar gifts must be received by Steps no later than Monday, 12/15. Please contact us to schedule dropoff! Items can also be shipped directly to our shelter.
